1/50 scale Case IH Steiger 485 Tractors and Miskin D-19 Pull-Type Scraper For the first time, we are very pleased and excited to announce all new subject matter in our construction and agriculture product lines --- 1/50 scale tractors! Yes, you read that correctly…tractors. And what better way to make a BIG announcement than to introduce a REALLY BIG tractor --- the Case IH Steiger 485 --- in two versions!! For our farm and ag equipment collectors we have the ag version of the Steiger 485 Wheeled Tractor. This monster filled the need for Case IH to provide its customers with greater productivity, improved profitability, enhanced comfort and convenience, long lasting durability, premium reliability, plus ease of operation and serviceability. Steiger tractors have been the industry leader in power and innovation since 1957 --- for more than 50 years! Case IH designed the Steiger 485 tractor to use turbo compound technology for the first time in an agricultural tractor application. This technology uses a second turbocharger to convert energy that is normally wasted out the exhaust into additional power.
Also available to complement this new Case IH Steiger tractor, and to provide you the opportunity to create realistic new dioramas, is a ‘Case IH Agriculture’ branded 1/50 scale Peterbilt Model 367 tractor with tri-axle lowboy trailer. This impressive rig allows you to display the new tractor on the lowboy trailer with its outer wheels removed to offer a realistic hauling situation. The recently released ‘Case IH Agriculture’ branded 1/50 scale International® DuraStar™ service truck could also be added to this agriculture diorama, so be sure to collect all three of these outstanding replicas!
Not to be left out, for the 1/50 scale construction enthusiasts we are also pleased to offer the all new Case IH Steiger 485HD Dual-Wheeled Tractor that can be paired with our all new Miskin D-19 Pull-Type Scraper. You can ‘train’ 2 or 3 of these outstanding scrapers with the 485 HD for a very impressive display!
As we mentioned, the incredible pulling power of the Case IH Steiger 485HD tractor allows for pulling as many as three of our all new 1/50 scale Miskin D-19 Scrapers! That would make for an amazing display in your construction diorama!
The all new 1/50 scale diecast metal Miskin Scraper we’ve been mentioning features a pivoting rear bolster that raises and lowers the bowl, hydraulic lines that hook up to the tractor, rubber flotation tires, a pivoting front drawbar, and a rear hitch for ‘training’ of multiple scrapers. The scraper measures 6.5”L x 3.25”W x 2”H and weighs about 0.4 lbs.
A ‘Case Construction’ branded 1/50 scale Peterbilt Model 367 tractor with tri-axle lowboy is also being offered to complement this amazing new tractor and scraper combination. And don’t forget about the recently released ‘Case Construction’ branded 1/50 Scale International® DuraStar™ service truck, all of which would make an outstanding, impressive construction diorama! Our authentic 1/50 scale diecast metal replica features a detailed cab interior with ROPS (Steiger cabs are the largest in the industry), articulated steering with pivoting center point, drawbar (Steiger offers the highest hitch lift capacity in the industry), parallel front weights with tool box detail, and removable outer wheels for transporting on our 1/50 scale trucks with lowboy trailers. The tractor measures 5.75”L x 3.5”W x 3.25”W and weighs nearly 1 lb.
The Steiger 485HD Dual-Wheeled Tractor also features removable outer wheels for transport and delivery. In addition to many of the features listed for the 485 ag version, the HD also features perpendicular front weights with a grab bar on each side of the hood, an industry standard ‘claw-type’ (quick-hitch) drawbar, realistic tow cable connecting the front and rear bodies, cab-mounted beacon lights and a strobe light.
